Hi I’m Chris,
After completing my design degree in Newport, Gwent, I moved to London freelancing for leading publishing and design agencies. Some of the publications and firms I worked for were: BBC magazines; Radio Times and a part-work for the Antiques Roadshow. Also worked as designer on
The Listener. At Reuters produced their internal magazine. For Dennis publishing worked on Microscope and a video games title. At New holland publishing producing a travel book on Borneo. Freelanced at, The Publishing Team producing internal publications for Barclays. I went on to become one of the Art Directors at FF Publishing (Car Magazine), later joining Wilmington plc and then Guardian Media, where I worked as Art Editor on Money Observer – a consumer investing title.
During lockdown, I returned to freelancing and expanded into motion graphics, completing an advanced Adobe course gaining professional certification in After Effects. I now create promotional content, web and social graphics, and marketing materials using Creative Cloud.
I have a long-standing love of photography and regularly visit current exhibitions to stay inspired. I also keep a close eye on emerging design trends. Always keen to keep learning, I take courses to learn new techniques.
I’m currently open to full-time opportunities, so if you need support
with design or production, I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks, Chris
